Yes by all means, continue hating on your fellow fangirls/women. Because liking BL is so much weirder compared to liking a yandere character who locks people in animal cages. Haha, the irony. Men don’t keep us down enough, we women have to keep ourselves down by insisting that “I am so different from those girls. I’m special and superior.” It’s no different from slut-shaming or fat-shaming.

Do you not realize how homophobic and stupid you sound? I asked someone about this and they said “I don’t mind BL, I just don’t want people slashing otome game characters because these games are made for (straight) girls!” In other words, “I don’t mind gay people as long as I don’t have to be reminded that they exist.” Don’t ask, don’t tell. It’s these same people who are up in arms whenever there’s a yuri route in an otome game. :/ Because god forbid that some otoge players might want to pursue a female character, too. And don’t tell them “GO PLAY A YURI GAME”! What if they’re bi? :/ Or just like seeing pretty female characters? I mean, please. All the hatred towards Daria and people saying “I would have loved Daria if she were male!” is just. Wow. No, that is not acceptable. How is that mindset any different from “I wish this female character were male/didn’t exist because they’re getting in the way of the yaoi!!111!” that you supposedly hate so much. 

And so I asked “So when is it ~acceptable~ to slash characters?” Because shounen manga is “made for boys”, right herpderp. I’ve been told “JUST GO READ BL” so apparently it’s only acceptable to slash guys who are already gay or something.

Seriously, fuck you guys. I’m getting rather tired of being treated like a second-class citizen or something just because I like BL. I don’t even slash any of the guys in Amnesia or Arcana and I’m still annoyed by people’s attitudes towards fangirls who do. The whole “Oh here let me spoil everything in Arcana just to try and deflate some of those gross BL fangirls!” mindset is really rude.

Geez, BL doesn’t actually affect you guys at all. Scroll past it or whatever. Denying people of their right to like something by saying that it’s gross/weird/whatever is messed up. Don’t you feel bad whenever people tell you “Haha you’re such a loser, playing games where you date fake men”? Because you’re doing the same thing: “Haha those girls who ship slash pairings are such losers.”

Sometimes I feel like women don’t have equality not because of men, but because of other women. We’re so eager to make ourselves out to be great and different that we willingly tear down other groups of women to do it. We’re all fangirls, jfc. Why do we have to differentiate and decide that BL fangirls deserve less because of their shipping preferences?

thank you, i’m on the same boat and this needed to be said.  i myself don’t slash anyone in otome games despite liking bl, but have nothing against those that do, obviously. it’s sad that some are so tunnel visioned and self righteous that they’ll never realize they’re being hypocritical.
